Description
The Basic Community Emergency Response and Preparedness course is a condensed training program intended for people who want to be able to help out their friends and neighbors in an emergency, but aren't part of a local CERT program. Based on the FEMA Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) curriculum, this course covers core topics related to community and neighborhood response as well as preparedness in times of disaster or emergency. Community Emergency Response training is a good place to start for people looking to help make their communities more prepared, but are unable or unwilling to take on the commitment of joining or starting a full CERT program.
PLEASE NOTE: This course DOES NOT meet the minimum training requirements required to become a CERT. Anyone looking to start or join a CERT program will still need to attend a Basic CERT Training course.
