Firearms

General Instructions for Firearms Courses:

1. Do not bring any firearms or ammunition to the classroom unless directed to do so by an instructor.

2. For live-fire courses, please leave all firearms secured in your vehicle until directed to get them by an instructor.  

3. Firearms being transported from your vehicle to the range must be unloaded and secured in a case or gun bag.

4. All firearms and ammunition must be inspected an instructor once on the range.  For the safety of our staff and 

    students we do not permit reloaded ammunition at any of our classes or facilities.

5. Liability release forms required for all live-fire courses.

Oregon Concealed Handgun Live-Fire Course
$80
Average Runtime: 6 hrs
(Classes starting in the morning add 1 hr break for lunch)

The Oregon CHL Live-Fire course is a comprehensive concealed handgun course that combines classroom lecture with live fire exercises.  The classroom portion of the course focuses on many topics related to concealed carry, including laws and legals aspects, gun safety, a section on basic tactical first aid and much more.  The range portion applies what is learned in the classroom, students get practical experience with a variety of techniques and distances.  We set out to put together a class that covers every aspect of carrying concealed so that students are properly informed and prepared, not only to get their license, but also to be responsible gun owners. We highly recommend this course for anyone looking to get their concealed handgun license in Oregon. After completing this
course the student can apply at their local Sheriff's Office for an Oregon CHL which is valid in Oregon, states that recognize the Oregon CHL, and states that do not require a license to carry concealed.
NOTE: This is not an NRA approved course, but meets the requirements for an Oregon CHL, and is taught by an NRA certified instructor.

Class Requirements:

-Semi-automatic pistol or revolver (Whichever you would normally carry)

-100 rounds of factory ammunition (Leave guns and ammo in your car, do not bring to classroom)
-Eye and Ear Protection (Mandatory on range)
-Case for your firearm
-Ballcap (Recommended)
-Closed-toe shoes, no low-cut shirts
-Signed and filled out liability release form
-Holsters are not utilized for the practical exercises in this course.  For courses featuring the application and use of holsters see below.

Oregon Concealed Handgun Course
$50
Average Runtime: 4.5 hrs

The Oregon Concealed Hadngun course is a detailed concealed handgun course that consists entirely of classroom lecture.  The class focuses on many topics related to concealed carry, including laws and legals aspects, gun safety, a section on basic tactical first aid and much more.  We wanted to cover every aspect of carrying concealed so that students are properly informed and prepared, not only to get their license, but also to be responsible gun owners.  After completing this course the student can apply at their local Sheriff's Office for an Oregon CHL which is valid in Oregon, states that recognize the Oregon CHL, and states that do not require a license to carry concealed.

Basic Handgun Course
$75
Average Runtime: 4 hrs

Our Basic Handgun Course is intended as a more condensed course for those wishing to improve their confidence and skills, as well as those wishing to move on to more advanced courses, regardless of prior shooting experience.
In this class students will get lessons in safety, gun handling, loading and unloading, fundamentals of pistol shooting, various pistol firing positions, with practical exercises to increase proficiency and accuracy.  This course is a great addition to concealed handgun courses that do not have a range component.
NOTE: This class is not an NRA approved course and does not meet the requirements for a Concealed Handgun License, but does qualify as a prerequisite course for higher-level handgun courses, and is taught by an NRA certified instructor.

Class Requirements:

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course
$125
Average Runtime: 7 hrs
(+ 1 hr lunch if done in one day)

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. In this class students will get the NRA's The Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and intensive lessons in safety, gun handling, the various types of pistols, the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, various pistol firing positions, several practical exercises on the firing range, cleaning, storage, and a summary of pistol sports and activities. 

NOTE: This class does not meet the requirements for a Concealed Handgun License, but does qualify as a prerequisite course for higher-level handgun courses, and is taught by an NRA certified instructor.

-200 rounds of factory ammunition (Leave guns and ammo in your car, do not bring to classroom)

We can provide our own AV equipment if your facility does not have a space that is AV equipped.

  • Have less than 5?  That's okay, you can either schedule a special small group class (at an increased rate) or join a                    waitlist until we have enough people to put on a class.

  • Have a lot of people?  We offer group discounts for large groups, please contact us for more information.

  • Want us to come to you?  We do that too!  We charge a flat fee of $1.00 per mile roundtrip from Junction City, Oregon to            your site.  If you are located in Junction City, Eugene, Springfield, Harrisburg, Coburg, Monroe, or Veneta, it's Free.
